Frequently Asked Questions
How come you don't participate in insurance?
I choose not to participate in insurance because my only focus is on what will best help move you toward health. I cannot serve both the patient and the insurance company. I am very conservative in testing and treatment, but when I recommend something, I don’t want to be swayed by what the insurance company wants me to do. That way you can be certain that I have only your best interests in mind. We do provide receipts that you can submit to insurance for out of network coverage. One of the advantages to patients is that this allows me to keep overhead low and reduce my rates. My goal is to be affordable to people with and without insurance. How come you do not accept Medicare part B patients?
I have a number of long time patients who have moved into Medicare coverage. Because I don’t want to force them to find another physician, I do participate in Medicare part B coverage. Unfortunately, I do not have the staff to take on a large number of Medicare part B claims, rather than opting out, I limit Medicare part B to existing patients. I cannot allow Medicare part B patients to pay out of pocket. This is part of Medicare’s regulations to protect patients. I am sorry for this restriction. |
